ASIS International Security Book of the Year Nomination: Critical Infrastructure Risk Assessment by Ernie Hayden
The Rothstein Publishing team is excited to report that ASIS International has chosen Ernie Hayden’s new book, Critical Infrastructure Risk Assessment: The Definitive Threat Identification and Threat Reduction Handbook as one of three finalists for Security Book of the Year, out of 17 books nominated.
Now in its eighth year, the Security Industry Book of the Year is chosen by a committee of ASIS members who are established authors, editors, and reviewers. Eligible books were authored by ASIS members and published in 2020.
Founded in 1955, ASIS International is a global community of security practitioners, each of whom has a role in the protection of assets – people, property, and/or information.
ASIS members represent virtually every industry in the public and private sectors, and organizations of all sizes. From entry-level managers to CSOs to CEOs, from security veterans to consultants and those transitioning from law enforcement or the military, the ASIS community is global and diverse.
“Ernie Hayden has provided an extraordinary work that goes beyond its title, addressing Risk Assessment for Critical Infrastructure, with all its elements: threat identification, vulnerability identification, and impact. But more than an academic exercise, Mr. Hayden has taken years of experience as a risk assessor, and provides a handbook that will be invaluable to both the novice assessor, the executive who has been charged with an assignment to have a risk assessment completed, and the seasoned assessor.” – Matt Lampe, Partner, Fortium Partners
